    Getting There

    Public Transport

    The Five-Storied Pagoda is located within Senso-ji Temple, a short walk from Asakusa Station. Asakusa Station is served by the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, Toei Asakusa Line, and Tobu Skytree Line. From any of these lines, follow signs for Senso-ji Temple and Kaminarimon Gate. Exits A4 or A5 on the Toei Asakusa Line and Exit 1 on the Ginza Line are closest to the temple entrance. From there, walk through Nakamise-dori to reach the pagoda. Subway fare from Ueno to Asakusa is approximately ¥178-252.

    Walking

    From Kaminarimon Gate, the Five-Storied Pagoda is a short walk through the Nakamise-dori shopping street. Follow the main path towards the Hozomon Gate, and the pagoda will be visible to your left. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on the crowds. The path is mostly flat and accessible.

    Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Tokyo and can take you directly to Senso-ji Temple. Ask the driver to take you to 'Senso-ji' or 'Kaminarimon'. From Tokyo Station, a taxi ride to Senso-ji will cost approximately ¥2,000-¥2,700, depending on traffic. Note that traffic can be heavy, especially on weekends and holidays.
