Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, take the Tohoku Expressway from Tokyo towards Utsunomiya. After about 100 km, take the exit towards Nikko (Nikko IC). Continue on Route 119 for approximately 20 km to reach Nikko. Follow the signs to the Nikko Kinugawa 3D Space Dinosaur Museum, located at 1-83 Kosagoe, Nikko, Tochigi 321-2525. Parking is available at the museum for a small fee, typically around 500 yen.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, take the Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Utsunomiya Station. The journey takes about 1 hour. From Utsunomiya Station, transfer to the Nikko Line and take a local train to Nikko Station, which takes approximately 45 minutes. Once at Nikko Station, you can take a local bus (Nikko City Bus) towards Kinugawa Onsen. Get off at the Kosagoe stop, which is a short walk to the Nikko Kinugawa 3D Space Dinosaur Museum. The total cost for the train journey is around 5,000 yen.

• Bus

  Alternatively, you can take an express bus from Tokyo Station (Yaesu South Exit) directly to Nikko. The bus ride takes approximately 2.5 hours and costs around 3,500 yen. Once you arrive at the Nikko bus terminal, you can take a local bus to the Kosagoe stop, which will take about 15 minutes. The museum is within walking distance from the bus stop.
