If you're driving from Tokyo, take the Kan-Etsu Expressway (関越自動車道) towards Nagano. After about 2 hours, take the Karuizawa IC exit. Follow the signs towards Karuizawa for approximately 10 minutes. Once you reach the main intersection in Karuizawa, turn left onto Route 146 and continue for about 5 minutes. You will see signs for Karuizawa Lake Garden. There is parking available on-site, though it may incur a small fee.
