If you're driving from Tokyo, take the Kan-Etsu Expressway (関越自動車道) towards Nagano. After about 2 hours, take the Karuizawa IC exit. Follow the signs towards Karuizawa for approximately 10 minutes. Once you reach the main intersection in Karuizawa, turn left onto Route 146 and continue for about 5 minutes. You will see signs for Karuizawa Lake Garden. There is parking available on-site, though it may incur a small fee.

For those using public transportation, take the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo Station to Karuizawa Station (around 1 hour). Once you arrive at Karuizawa Station, exit the station and catch a local bus heading towards Karuizawa Lake Garden. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Please check the bus schedule in advance as the frequency may vary. You will need to pay a small fare for the bus, usually around 500 yen.
