Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from any central point in Kanto, such as Tokyo. Take the Tōmei Expressway (東名高速道路) heading towards Nagoya. Exit at the Utsunomiya Interchange (宇都宮IC) and merge onto Route 4 (国道4号線) towards Nikko. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 50 km until you reach Nikko. From there, follow the signs to Shiraito Falls, which is about a 15-minute drive from the town center. Parking is available near the falls, although a small fee may be required.
Train and Bus
For those using public transportation, begin your journey by taking the Tōhoku Shinkansen (東北新幹線) from Tokyo Station to Utsunomiya Station. Upon arrival at Utsunomiya Station, transfer to the JR Nikko Line (JR日光線) and travel to Nikko Station. From Nikko Station, take a bus bound for Shiraito Falls (白糸の滝行き). The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited. The entrance to Shiraito Falls is a short walk from the bus stop.
