If you are traveling by car, the most direct route to Tsuboniwa from central Kanto is to take the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道). Start by heading towards the Chuo Expressway entrance from your location. Once on the expressway, drive towards Nagano. After approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, take the Chino IC exit. Follow the signs towards Chino City and continue on Route 20. After about 10 km, turn onto Route 287 towards Kitayama. Tsuboniwa is located at Kitayama, Chino, Nagano 391-0301, and there is parking available near the entrance. Note that there are expressway tolls, which can vary based on your starting location.

Train and Bus
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train to Chino Station, which can be accessed via the JR Chuo Line from Tokyo or Shinjuku Station. The journey takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. From Chino Station, take the bus bound for Kitayama (北山行き). The bus ride will take an additional 30 minutes. Disembark at the Kitayama bus stop, which is close to Tsuboniwa. Please check the local bus schedule in advance as bus frequency may vary throughout the day.
