Getting There

• Public Transportation

  If you are starting from Tokyo Station, take the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) towards Takao and get off at Shinjuku Station (approximately 14 minutes). From Shinjuku Station, take the South Exit and walk towards Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. The garden entrance is about a 10-15 minute walk from the station. Look for signs directing you to the garden. Note that there is an entrance fee of 500 yen for adults (free for children under 15) to enter the garden.

• Public Transportation

  From Shibuya Station, take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shinjuku and get off at Shinjuku Station (approximately 6 minutes). Follow the same walking instructions as mentioned above to reach Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Remember to carry some cash for the entrance fee.

• Car

  If you are driving, navigate to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden at 11 Naitomachi, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0014. Be aware that parking in the area can be limited. There are a few parking lots nearby where you can park, but be prepared to pay a fee (approximately 300-600 yen per hour). After parking, walk to the entrance of the garden, which is a short distance away.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Simply tell the driver 'Shinjuku Gyoen' or provide them with the address (11 Naitomachi, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0014). Taxi fares from central locations in Tokyo, like Tokyo Station or Shibuya, will typically range from 1,000 to 2,500 yen, depending on traffic conditions.
