Getting There

Public Transport

From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Uji Station. The rapid train takes about 20 minutes and costs around ¥240. From Uji Station, it's a 10-minute walk to Byodoin Temple. Follow the main street from the station, and you'll find the temple entrance.
Walking

From Keihan Uji Station, cross the Uji River and turn left. From JR Uji Station, head towards the river but turn right just before you reach it. The walk to Byodoin Temple takes about 10-15 minutes from either station. Enjoy the stroll through the tea shops and confectionery stores lining the path.
Parking

If driving, be aware that Byodoin Temple does not have its own parking. Several paid parking lots are available near the temple, including Uji Car Parking, located in front of the temple's South Gate. Parking fees typically range from ¥800 per time.
