If you are traveling by car, take the Kansai Expressway and exit at the Nara Interchange. Follow Route 369 towards Nara city. Once in Nara, follow signs for Kasuga Taisha, which is well-marked. You can park in nearby parking lots, such as the Nara Park Parking Lot, which charges around 500 yen for a few hours. After parking, it’s a short 10-15 minute walk to the shrine.

For those using public transportation, take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Kyoto or Osaka to Kintetsu Nara Station. The journey from Kyoto takes about 45 minutes, while from Osaka it takes about 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Kintetsu Nara Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. Take the Nara Kotsu bus (No. 70 or 72) towards Kasuga Taisha, which will take about 10 minutes. The bus fare is around 210 yen. Alight at the 'Kasuga Taisha' stop, which is right near the shrine.
