    If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway towards Kokusaikaikan and get off at the Higashiyama Station (about 15 minutes). Exit the station and head east on Sanjo-dori. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Honmachi-dori. Turn left and walk north for about 10 minutes. You will see Komyo-in Temple on your right at 15 Chome-809 Honmachi.

    If you are driving from Osaka, take the Hanshin Expressway Route 1 towards Kyoto and follow signs for Kyoto. Once you reach the city, follow the signs for Higashiyama Ward. Parking is limited near the temple, so look for nearby public parking lots. After parking, walk east along Honmachi Street for about 5 minutes to reach Komyo-in Temple at 15 Chome-809 Honmachi.

    From Nijo Castle, take the Tozai Line subway towards Rokujizo and get off at the Keage Station (about 15 minutes). Exit the station and walk south towards the Philosopher's Path. After about 10 minutes, turn right at the intersection with Honmachi-dori and continue walking for about 5 minutes to reach Komyo-in Temple on your left at 15 Chome-809 Honmachi.
