    If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line (subway) towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Marutamachi Station (approximately 10 minutes). From Marutamachi Station, take Exit 1 and head straight until you reach the intersection. Turn left onto Karasuma Street, then turn right onto Sanjo Street. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Shijo Street. Turn left on Shijo Street, and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Higashioji Street. Turn right onto Higashioji Street and walk for about 5 minutes until you reach Komyo-in Temple on your left.

    If you are nearby, say in Gion, head north towards Shijo Avenue. Walk along Shijo Avenue until you reach the intersection with Higashioji Street. Turn right onto Higashioji Street and continue for about 15 minutes. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. Komyo-in Temple will be on your left at 15 Chome-809 Honmachi, Higashiyama Ward.

    From Kyoto Station, take Bus No. 100 or No. 206 towards Kurama. Get off at 'Higashiyama-nishi' bus stop (about 20 minutes). After getting off, walk straight down the road for about 5 minutes, and Komyo-in Temple will be on your right, located at 15 Chome-809 Honmachi.
