Getting There

Walking

From the main entrance of Nanzen-ji Temple, walk north along the path. After about 10 minutes, the entrance to Kōun-ji Temple will be on your left. The route is scenic and well-marked.
Public Transport

From Kyoto Station, take Kyoto City Bus number 100 or 204 to the 'Nanzenji Eikando-michi' stop. The bus fare is approximately ¥230. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to Kōun-ji Temple. Follow the signs leading to Nanzen-ji Temple.
Taxi

From Kyoto Station, a taxi to Kōun-ji Temple takes about 15 minutes and costs approximately ¥1,500. Alternatively, from Keage Station on the Tozai Line, it's a short taxi ride to the temple.
