Car
If you are driving, head towards Kyoto city center. Take the Meishin Expressway and exit at the Kyoto-Higashi interchange. Follow Route 1 towards Kameoka, then merge onto Route 162. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs for Umegahata Toganoocho, and turn left when you reach the T junction. Kozan-ji is located at 8 Umegahata Toganoocho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Kozan-ji using public transport, take the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station to JR Hanazono Station. From Hanazono Station, transfer to bus number 26 towards Umegahata and disembark at the Kozan-ji bus stop. The temple is a short walk from the bus stop. The total travel time is approximately 45 minutes.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Kyoto. Simply tell the driver 'Kozan-ji' or show them the address: 8 Umegahata Toganoocho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto. The trip may take around 30 minutes depending on traffic.
