By Car
If you are driving, take the Meishin Expressway and exit at the Kyoto-minami Interchange. Follow signs for Route 1 towards Kyoto. As you approach the city, continue onto Route 162. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Ukyo Ward. Once you reach Sagakitaboricho, Rokuo-in will be located at 24 Sagakitaboricho. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it may be limited during peak tourist seasons.

To reach Rokuo-in by public transportation, take the JR Sanin Line from Kyoto Station to Saga-Arashiyama Station. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and walk towards the bus stop located outside the station. Take the Kyoto City Bus (number 28 or 93) towards Rocket Hill (Hozu River) and get off at the Sagakitaboricho bus stop. From there, Rokuo-in is a short 5-minute walk. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary.

For a more direct option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Kyoto. Simply tell the driver to take you to Rokuo-in at 24 Sagakitaboricho, Ukyo Ward.
