From Gion-Shijo Station (Keihan Line), walk north for about 10 minutes. Alternatively, from Gion's main street (Shijo Dori), walk five minutes north. Look for the Tatsumi-bashi bridge as a landmark.

Take the Keihan Line to Gion-Shijo Station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Shirakawa Canal. No additional costs are involved beyond the train fare (approximately ¥150-¥210 from Kyoto Station).
