Public Transportation
If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Yamashina Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Yamashina Station, exit the station and head east on the main road (Shiga Street). Walk for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Zushiokukachocho. Turn left onto Zushiokukachocho, and you will find Shogunzuka Mound at 28 Zushiokukachocho.

If you are driving from central Kyoto, head east on Shijo Street until you reach the intersection with Kiyamachi Street. Turn left onto Kiyamachi Street and follow it until it becomes Route 1. Continue on Route 1 for about 5 kilometers. Take the exit toward Yamashina and merge onto Route 1. Follow the signs for Yamashina and then turn left onto Zushiokukachocho. Shogunzuka Mound will be on your right at 28 Zushiokukachocho.
