From Kyoto Station, exit the north side and walk north on Karasuma Street. Turn right onto Shichijo Street, then left onto Ainomachi Street. The garden entrance will be on your left, approximately a 10-12 minute walk from the station.

From Kyoto Station, take city bus number 5 to Kawaramachi Shomen. From there, walk a short distance east to reach Shōsei-en Garden. The bus fare is approximately ¥230.
