Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, take the Nishi-Meihan Expressway and exit at Nara Interchange. Follow Route 369 towards Nara city center. Once you reach the city, follow the signs to Nara Park. After passing through the park, keep an eye out for Takabatakecho. The Ukimido Pavilion is located within Nara Park, near the pond. There is parking available at Nara Park, but it can fill up quickly, so arrive early.

  • Train

    To reach Ukimido Pavilion via public transport, take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Osaka or Kyoto to Kintetsu Nara Station. Upon arrival, exit the station and head towards the Nara Park area. It is about a 20-minute walk from the station to the pavilion. Follow the signs leading to Nara Park and then to the Ukimido Pavilion, which is situated on the pond within the park.

  • Bus

    If you prefer taking a bus, from Nara Station, you can board the Nara City Loop Bus (Green Line). Get off at the 'Nara Park' stop. From there, it is a short walk to the Ukimido Pavilion, which is located near the pond within Nara Park. Follow the path leading through the park to find the pavilion.
