From Shin-Osaka Station, take the JR Tokaido Main Line (platforms 7 and 8) to Osaka Station. Alternatively, take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line to Umeda Station, which is adjacent to Osaka Station. The JR train fare is approximately ¥160, and the subway fare is approximately ¥240.
Taxi
From Osaka Castle, a taxi to Osaka Station will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated fare is between ¥2,000 and ¥2,500. Taxi stands are readily available near Osaka Castle.
