    Third Place Kumano Kodo is located along the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route between Chikatsuyu village and Tsugizakura-oji. From either village, follow the well-marked trail, keeping an eye out for signposts indicating the direction of Nonaka. The minshuku is situated just west of Irorian Minshuku, past the number 30 signpost. The walk offers scenic views of the surrounding mountains and forests.

    The nearest bus stops are Chikatsuyu village and Nonaka Ipposugi. From Kii-Tanabe Station, take a bus bound for Hongu and alight at either of these stops. From Chikatsuyu, follow the Kumano Kodo trail west towards Nonaka. From Nonaka Ipposugi, walk east along the trail. Bus fares from Kii-Tanabe to Chikatsuyu-oji is approximately ¥970. Be sure to check the latest bus schedules as they may be infrequent.
