    If you're driving, start from central Nara City. Head southeast on Sanjo-dori Street towards the Naramachi area. Follow the signs for Route 163 and continue until you reach the Chuincho area. Look for parking options nearby, as Gango-ji does not have its own parking lot. Once parked, walk to the temple located at 〒630-8392 Nara, Chuincho, 11. It's a short 5-minute walk from the parking area.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Gango-ji using public transportation, take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Kyoto Station to Kintetsu Nara Station. Once you arrive at Kintetsu Nara Station, exit the station and walk towards the East. You can either take a bus (Nara Kotsu Bus No. 70 or 71) to the Gango-ji bus stop or walk for about 20 minutes to reach the temple directly. Follow the signs towards Naramachi, and you will reach Gango-ji at 〒630-8392 Nara, Chuincho, 11.

    If you are already in the vicinity of Nara Park, you can walk to Gango-ji. Head southeast from the park entrance on Sanjo-dori Street. Continue straight until you reach Chuincho, where you will see the temple entrance. The walk should take approximately 15 minutes.
