Train
Start by heading to Kyoto Station. From there, take the JR Tokaido Line to Osaka Station (a direct train, approximately 30 minutes). Once at Osaka Station, transfer to the JR Loop Line and get off at Tennoji Station (about 15 minutes). After exiting Tennoji Station, follow the signs for the East Exit. Once outside, you should see a large park area. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Tennoji Zoo, located at 1-108 Chausuyamacho.

From Kyoto Station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take the highway bus bound for Osaka and get off at Abeno Harukas (the tallest building in Japan). From Abeno Harukas, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Tennoji Zoo. Just head south towards Chausuyamacho, and you will find the zoo entrance easily.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Kyoto. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Tennoji Zoo in Osaka (天王寺動物園). The journey will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic.
