    If you are in the heart of Higashiyama, head towards Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which is a well-known landmark. Once you reach the main entrance of Kiyomizu-dera, proceed down the hill towards the Kiyomizu-zaka street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection at Kiyomizu-zaka and Sannenzaka. At this point, take a right onto Sannenzaka, which will lead you further down into the charming streets of Higashiyama. After a short walk, you will see Ninenzaka on your left, just a few steps away from Sannenzaka.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From anywhere in Higashiyama, locate a nearby bus stop and take the Kyoto City Bus number 100 or 206. These buses frequently service the Higashiyama area. Get off at the Kiyomizu-michi bus stop. From there, follow the signs leading to Kiyomizu-dera, and you will find yourself on Kiyomizu-zaka street. Continue straight down Kiyomizu-zaka until you reach the intersection with Sannenzaka. Turn right onto Sannenzaka, and then shortly after, you will see Ninenzaka on your left. The bus fare is typically around 230 yen.
