Getting There

Bus
If you are near Kyoto Station, take bus number 100 or 206 towards Kiyomizu-dera. Get off at the Kiyomizu-michi bus stop. From there, walk downhill for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection at Kiyomizu-dera. Turn left at the intersection and walk along the street, which leads you directly to Sannenzaka. The street is lined with traditional shops and tea houses, making for a scenic walk.

From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Tofukuji Station (about 5 minutes). Transfer to the Keihan Main Line and take the train to Kiyomizu-Gojo Station. Exit the station and walk north along the street until you reach the Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Once there, continue walking uphill, and you will find Sannenzaka on your left. It’s a picturesque street, perfect for exploring.
