Getting there

Car

From Mikawa, take the Route 2 highway heading west towards Himeji. Continue for about 45 minutes until you reach Himeji City. Once you arrive, follow the signs for Himeji Castle (姫路城). Parking is available near the castle, and the fees are approximately 500-1000 JPY depending on the facility you choose. After parking, it's a short walk to the castle entrance.

Train

Start by taking the JR Tokaido Line from Mikawa Station to Himeji Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Himeji Station, exit the station and follow the signs directing you to Himeji Castle. It's about a 15-20 minute walk, or you can take a local bus from the station for a small fare of around 200 JPY. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most convenient option.

Bus

If you prefer to take a bus, go to Mikawa Bus Terminal and board a bus heading to Himeji. The trip may take about an hour. Once you arrive at Himeji Bus Terminal, transfer to a local bus that goes to Himeji Castle. The bus fare will be around 300 JPY. The castle is well signposted, so you should have no trouble finding your way.
