Getting There

  • Train

    From Nagoya Station, take the Tokaido Line towards Toyohashi. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at Toyota Station. From Toyota Station, exit the station and look for the bus terminal. Take the Meitetsu Bus bound for Akabara. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the Matsudaira Tōshōgū stop. The shrine will be a short walk from the bus stop.

    From Nagoya Station, walk to the Nagoya City Bus terminal and catch the bus number 45 towards Toyota. Stay on the bus for approximately 50 minutes. Get off at Akabara Matsudairacho. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to Matsudaira Tōshōgū shrine.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Nagoya Station. Tell the driver to take you to Matsudaira Tōshōgū in Toyota. The journey will take about 40 minutes depending on traffic.
