Car
From central Mutsu, head north on Route 279 towards Oma. Continue on Route 279 for approximately 30 km. As you approach the town of Oma, keep an eye out for signs indicating Cape Ōma (大間崎). Turn left onto Omataira Road and follow it until you reach the parking area for Cape Ōma. The approximate drive time is about 40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Public Transportation
Begin your journey at Mutsu Station. Board the bus heading towards Oma Station. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Oma Station, you will need to transfer to a local bus or taxi. If you choose the local bus, look for the bus heading to Cape Ōma; the ride will take about 15 minutes. Alternatively, a taxi from Oma Station to Cape Ōma will take around 10 minutes and cost approximately 1,500 yen.
