Car
From the center of Mutsu, head northwest on Route 4. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 30 kilometers. You will pass through scenic landscapes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Yagen Hot Spring. As you approach, turn left onto Route 45, and after about 5 kilometers, turn right onto Yagen Ohata Road. Continue for another 4 kilometers to reach Yagen Hot Spring, located at Yagen Ohata, Mutsu, Aomori 039-4401. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
From Mutsu City Hall, take the local bus bound for Yagen. The bus departs regularly throughout the day. The ride takes about 50 minutes and costs approximately 500 yen. Inform the driver you are going to Yagen Hot Spring. The bus will drop you off at the nearest stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the hot spring. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
