Getting There

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    If you are starting from the Naoshima Ferry Terminal, take the local bus towards Miyanoura Port. The fare is approximately 100 yen. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Benesse House' stop. From there, you will need to walk for about 20 minutes towards the Naoshima Art Village. Follow the signs towards the Shinkeien garden, which is located in Kurashiki.

    If you are driving from the Naoshima Ferry Terminal, head north on Route 30 towards the Miyanoura area. Follow the signs for the Kurashiki area, which will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Kurashiki, look for signs directing you to Shinkeien, which is located at 1 Chome−1−20 in Central Kurashiki. Parking is available near the garden entrance.
