Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from any location in the Nara countryside and head towards Osaka. Use the Meishin Expressway or the Route 25, depending on your starting point. Follow the signs for Osaka, and once you reach the city, look for signs directing you to Chuo Ward. Specifically, you want to head to 2-1 Osakajo, where Hokoku Shrine is located. There is parking available nearby, though it may incur a fee of around 500 yen for a few hours.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, first, make your way to Nara Station. From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Osaka-Namba Station. The ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Once at Kintetsu Osaka-Namba, transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and ride to Honmachi Station. From there, switch to the Chuo Line and head to Tanimachi 4-chome Station. Finally, it is a 10-minute walk to Hokoku Shrine from Tanimachi 4-chome Station.
