Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Osaka City. Use the Hanshin Expressway, and take the exit for Osakajo. Follow the signs for Osaka Castle Park. There is a parking area available near the castle, although it may charge a fee of approximately 1,000 yen per day. Once you park, it's a short 5-minute walk to Sakuramon Gate from the parking area.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, take the JR (Japan Railway) to Osaka Station. From Osaka Station, transfer to the JR Loop Line and get off at Osakajokoen Station. From Osakajokoen Station, it's a 15-minute walk to Sakuramon Gate. Follow the signs leading to Osaka Castle Park, and you will reach the gate easily.

• Subway

  Alternatively, you can take the Osaka Metro. Board the Tanimachi Line at the nearest station to your location and travel to Tanimachi 4-chome Station. From there, transfer to the Chuo Line and get off at Osakajo Koen Station. Take exit 1, and you will find yourself within a short walking distance to Sakuramon Gate, approximately 10 minutes away.

• Bus

  If you prefer taking a bus, you can board any bus heading towards Osaka Castle Park. Various bus lines run from major locations in Osaka. The bus ride will take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Osaka Castle Park bus stop, Sakuramon Gate is just a few minutes away on foot.
