Car
From central Nara, take the route to Kyoto via the National Route 163. Continue on this road for approximately 30 km until you reach the outskirts of Kyoto. Follow the signs for Sagano and then turn onto Sagatenryuji Kurumamichicho. The Sagano Romantic Train station will be on your right, with ample parking available nearby.

Start at Nara Station and take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the JR Sanin Line and head towards Saga-Arashiyama Station. Upon arrival at Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the Sagano Romantic Train. The station is about a 10-minute walk from the train station, and you'll see signs directing you along the way.
