Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from Nara countryside to Universal Studios Japan, start by getting onto the Nishi-Meihan Expressway (西名阪自動車道) from Nara. Follow the expressway until you reach the junction for the Hanshin Expressway (阪神高速道路). Merge onto the Hanshin Expressway and continue towards Osaka. Take the exit for Universal City (ユニバーサルシティ) and follow the signs to Universal Studios Japan. The park is located at 2 Chome-1-33 Sakurajima, Konohana Ward, Osaka, 554-0031. Parking is available at the theme park, but be aware that there is a parking fee (typically around 2,500 yen per day).

• Train

  For those using public transportation, begin your journey at Nara Station (奈良駅). Take the Kintetsu Nara Line (近鉄奈良線) and travel to Osaka Namba Station (大阪難波駅). From Osaka Namba, transfer to the JR line and take the JR Yumesaki Line (夢咲線) towards Universal City Station (ユニバーサルシティ駅). The total train journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Universal City Station, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is just a short walk away.

• Bus

  Another option is to take a highway bus from Nara to Osaka. You can catch a bus from Nara Park (奈良公園) or Nara Station to Osaka Station (大阪駅). Once you arrive at Osaka Station, transfer to the JR Yumesaki Line (夢咲線) and take the train to Universal City Station (ユニバーサルシティ駅). The bus ride typically takes about 1 hour, and the train ride from Osaka Station to Universal City Station takes about 15 minutes. Ensure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
