Public Transport - Bus
From Nara Park, walk to the Nara City Hall bus stop (about a 10-minute walk). Take the Kintetsu Nara Line bus towards Kyoto (Kyoto Eki). The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Higashiyama Jinja-mae stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes to reach Chishakuin, located at 964番地 Higashikawaracho.
Public Transport - Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line train towards Kyoto. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Get off at Kiyomizu-gojo Station. From the station, exit and walk towards the Higashiyama area, which will take around 15 minutes. Chishakuin is located at 964番地 Higashikawaracho.
Walking
If you are already in the Higashiyama area, simply walk towards Chishakuin by heading east on Higashikawara-cho street. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Follow the signs to Chishakuin, and you will find it at 964番地 Higashikawaracho.
Taxi
You can take a taxi from any location in Nara. Simply tell the driver to take you to Chishakuin at 964番地 Higashikawaracho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
