Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the vicinity of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, head east towards Kiyomizu Zaka Street. Walk down this street for about 10 minutes until you reach a junction. At the junction, turn left onto Kiyomizu Main Street (Kiyomizu Sannenzaka). Continue walking straight for approximately 5 minutes, and you will see Asahi-zaka on your right at 1 Chome-262-3 Kiyomizu, Higashiyama Ward.

  • Public Transportation

    From Gion-Shijo Station (Hankyu Line), take the No. 100 or No. 206 bus towards Kiyomizu-dera. Alight at the Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk. Head towards the entrance of Kiyomizu-dera and follow the directions for walking as described above.
