Public Transport
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line toward Kyoto. Get off at Yamato-Saidaiji Station (about 20 minutes). Transfer to the Kintetsu Kyoto Line and travel to Kyoto Station (approximately 40 minutes). At Kyoto Station, follow the signs to the subway and take the Karasuma Line toward Kokusaikaikan. Get off at the Kitaoji Station (about 10 minutes). From Kitaoji Station, take bus number 204 or 205 toward Daitokuji. Get off at Daitokuji-mae bus stop, which is a short walk to Daisen-in Temple.
Walking
If you are in the Daitokuji area, walk towards the Daitokuji Temple complex. Once you reach the entrance of Daitokuji, follow the signs pointing to Daisen-in. The temple is located within the Daitokuji complex, and it should take about 5-10 minutes to walk from the main entrance to Daisen-in.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Nara. Simply tell the driver 'Daisen-in Temple' or show them the address: 54-1 Murasakino Daitokujicho, Kita Ward, Kyoto, 603-8231. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes depending on traffic.
