From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line to Karasuma-Oike Station, then transfer to the Tozai Line and get off at Higashiyama Station. Alternatively, take Kyoto City Bus number 206 from Kyoto Station to the Gojozaka bus stop, followed by a 10-minute walk. The bus fare is ¥230.
