Walking
If you are in the main area of Gion, start at Shijo Avenue (Shijo-dori). From there, head east on Shijo Avenue until you reach the Yasaka Shrine. Once you arrive at Yasaka Shrine, take a moment to enjoy the beautiful temple grounds. After visiting the shrine, exit the grounds and head north on the street called Yasakadori. Continue walking north until you reach the intersection with Ichinenzaka Street. Turn left onto Ichinenzaka Street. Ichinenzaka Hill will be on your right. The hill is known for its stunning views and traditional architecture, so take your time to explore the area.

Public Transport
If you're starting further away, you can take a bus to the nearest stop. From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus (Line 100 or 206) and get off at the 'Yasaka Jinja' stop. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes and costs around 230 yen. Once you get off, walk north along Yasakadori Street until you reach the intersection with Ichinenzaka Street. Turn left onto Ichinenzaka Street and you will see Ichinenzaka Hill on your right. This area is very pedestrian-friendly, and you can easily explore the surroundings.
