Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head east towards Kasuga-taisha Shrine. Once you reach the shrine, exit the grounds and turn left onto the main road (Naramachi Street). Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Chuincho. Turn right onto Chuincho and Gango-ji will be on your left after about 300 meters.

Public Transport
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Nara Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards the east exit. Follow the signs to Nara Park. As you walk through the park, head towards the Kasuga-taisha Shrine. After visiting the shrine, continue walking east on Naramachi Street, then turn right onto Chuincho. Gango-ji will be on your left after about 300 meters.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from Nara Park. Head towards the main entrance of Nara Park and exit through the eastern gate. After exiting, bike along Naramachi Street heading east. Continue for about 1 kilometer and then turn right onto Chuincho. Gango-ji will be located on your left after approximately 300 meters.
