    Getting There

    Walking

    If you're starting from Nara Park, head east towards the Nara National Museum. From the museum, walk along the main road (Route 169) and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Takabatakecho. Kataoka Bairin will be on your left at 1149 Takabatakecho.

    Public Transport - Bus

    From Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu Bus #2 or #6 towards Takabatake. Get off at the Takabatakecho bus stop. From there, it’s a short walk (about 5 minutes) to Kataoka Bairin, which will be located at 1149 Takabatakecho. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions.

    Walking

    Starting from the Naramachi area, head southwest towards the main road and walk towards Nara Park. Once at the park, follow the directions as mentioned above, walking east towards the Nara National Museum and then onto Takabatakecho.

    Public Transport - Train and Walking

    Take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Kintetsu Nara Station to Nara Station. Once you arrive, follow the directions provided for the bus or continue walking towards Kataoka Bairin as described earlier. It is about a 30-minute walk from Nara Station.
