Getting There

Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line train towards Kyoto. After approximately 40 minutes, transfer at Kyoto Station to the JR Nara Line. Take the train towards Nara, and travel for about 10 minutes until you reach Uji Station. Upon arrival at Uji Station, exit the station and head southeast on Keihan Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection. Turn left onto Renge Street, and after about 300 meters, you will find Hashihime Shrine on your right.

Bus
From Nara Park, walk to the Nara Bus Station. Take the city bus number 70 or 73 towards Uji. The bus ride will take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Uji Station, exit the bus and walk southeast along Keihan Street for about 1 kilometer. At the intersection, turn left onto Renge Street and walk about 300 meters to reach Hashihime Shrine, which will be on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops near Nara Park. Start cycling towards Uji by taking the main road via Route 24. The distance is around 14 kilometers, and it should take about 1 hour to reach. As you arrive in Uji, follow the signs towards the city center. Once you reach Keihan Street, turn left, and continue for about 1 kilometer. Turn left onto Renge Street, and Hashihime Shrine will be on your right after about 300 meters.
