    Getting There

    Train

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Ikoma. Get off at Horyuji Station (approximately 30 minutes). Once you exit Horyuji Station, turn right and follow the main road for about 10 minutes. The Horyu-ji temple will be on your left at 1-1 Horyuji Sannai.

    Bus

    From Nara Park, walk to Nara Bus Station and take the bus bound for Horyuji. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Horyuji bus stop, which is a short walk from the temple entrance. Head northeast for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Horyu-ji.

    Walking

    If you are near the Naramachi area, you can walk to Horyu-ji. Head towards the south exit of Nara Park and follow the signs for Horyuji. The distance is about 5 kilometers and will take you approximately 1 hour to walk. Enjoy the scenery along the way!

    Taxi

    You can also take a taxi from anywhere in Nara. Just tell the driver 'Horyu-ji' (法隆寺) and they will take you directly to the temple. The ride will take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
