Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head north towards the Kintetsu Nara Station. From the station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Line and take the train to Shijo Station. After exiting the station, walk east along Shijo Street until you reach Higashiyama Ward. Turn right onto Higashioji Street and continue straight until you reach Komatsucho, where Kenninji Temple is located at number 584.
Bus
From Nara, take a bus from Nara Station to Kyoto Station. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, transfer to Kyoto City Bus #100 or #206 heading towards the Gion area. Get off at the stop 'Gion,' then walk east along Shijo Street. Turn right onto Higashioji Street, and you will find Kenninji Temple at 584 Komatsucho on your left.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Nara. Just tell the driver to take you to 'Kenninji Temple, 584 Komatsucho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto.' The taxi ride will take approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic.
