Car
If you're driving from Nara, take Route 163 towards Kyoto. Follow the signs for Kyoto City. Once you reach Kyoto, continue on Route 1 (Shichijo-dori) and then turn left onto Komatsucho. After about 1 km, you will see Kenninji Ryosokuin on your right. There is limited parking available nearby, so plan to arrive early.
Public Transportation
To reach Kenninji Ryosokuin by public transport from Nara, take the Kintetsu Nara Line train from Nara Station to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Line subway and get off at Shijo Station. Exit the station and walk east on Shijo-dori for about 10 minutes, then turn right onto Komatsucho. Kenninji Ryosokuin will be on your left.
Taxi
If you prefer a taxi, simply tell the driver 'Kenninji Ryosokuin' or show them the address: 591 Komatsucho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, 605-0811. The ride from Nara to Kyoto will take approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
