Getting There

  • Train

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Yoshino Station. The train journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Yoshino Station, exit the station and follow the signs for the Yoshino Ropeway.

  • Ropeway

    At Yoshino Station, you will find the Yoshino Ropeway station. Purchase a ticket for the ropeway that will take you up to the top of Yoshinoyama (Mount Yoshino). The ride takes approximately 10 minutes and offers spectacular views of the surrounding area.

  • Walking

    Once you disembark from the ropeway, you will be near the Kinpusen-ji temple. Follow the signs leading to Kinpusen-ji, which is about a 15-minute walk from the ropeway station. The path is well-marked, and you will pass through beautiful temple grounds and scenic views along the way. The temple entrance will be on your left as you approach.
