Getting There

Bus
From Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu Bus bound for 'Ikaruga' (Ikoma District). The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. You will want to get off at the Koyoshida bus stop (Koyoshida-machi). Once you exit the bus, walk straight for about 300 meters. You will see Kichiden-ji on your left at 1 Chome-1-23 Koyoshida.

Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Yamato Saidaiji. At Yamato Saidaiji Station, transfer to the Kintetsu Ikoma Line and take the train towards Ikoma. Alight at Koyoshida Station. From the station, it is a 15-minute walk to Kichiden-ji. Exit the station and head north, then turn left onto Koyoshida street. Kichiden-ji will be on your right after about 1 kilometer.

Walking
If you are near the Nara Park area, you can walk to Kichiden-ji. Start from Nara Park and head south towards the Naramachi area. Follow the signs to Koyoshida. It is roughly a 5 km walk, which will take about an hour. You will walk along scenic routes, passing through traditional neighborhoods and small shops. Be sure to stay on the main roads, and look for signs directing you towards Ikaruga.
