    Getting There

    Bus

    From Nara Park, walk to the Nara Kotsu Bus Stop located near the main entrance of the park. Take the bus #2 heading towards Kyoto. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Kodaiji-mae' stop. From there, Kodaiji Temple is a short 5-minute walk. Head northeast on Kodaiji-michi, then turn left onto Takadaiji Shita Kawaramachi. The temple will be on your right.

    Train

    Walk to Nara Station and take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kyoto. Transfer at Yamato-Saidaiji Station to the Kintetsu Kyoto Line. Continue towards Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, take the subway to Karasuma Oike Station and transfer to the Tozai Line towards Daigo. Get off at Higashiyama Station. From there, walk east towards Kodaiji Temple, which is about a 15-minute walk. Follow Higashioji Dori until you reach the temple.

    If you are already in central Kyoto, you can walk to Kodaiji Temple from nearby attractions like Kiyomizu-dera. Start at Kiyomizu-dera and head south on Kiyomizu-zaka Street, then turn left onto Sannenzaka Street. Continue walking until you reach Ninenzaka, then head towards Kodaiji Temple. The walk will take approximately 20 minutes. The temple's address is 526, Takadaiji Shita Kawaramachi, Higashiyama Ward.
