From Nara Park, walk to the Nara Kintetsu Station. Take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line and ride to Kitayama Station. Exit the station and walk north for about 15 minutes to reach the Kyoto Botanical Gardens at Shimogamo Hangicho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto.

Begin at Nara Station. Take the JR Nara Line to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, exit and head to the east exit. From there, take a bus bound for the 'Kyoto Botanical Gardens' or 'Kitaoji Station.' If you choose to walk, it’s about a 30-minute stroll from Kyoto Station. Head north along Karasuma Street, then turn left onto Shimogamo Hangicho to reach the gardens.
