Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus number 204 or 205 heading towards Kamigamo Jinja. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Kamigamo Jinja' stop. From there, walk north for about 5 minutes along Kamigamo Motoyama Street until you reach Ōta Shrine at 340 Kamigamo Motoyama.
Subway
Take the Kyoto Subway from Kyoto Station to Kitaoji Station on the Karasuma Line. Once you arrive at Kitaoji Station, exit the station and transfer to the Kyoto City Bus number 37 or 204. Get off at the 'Kamigamo Jinja' stop. From there, it is a 5-minute walk north along Kamigamo Motoyama Street to reach Ōta Shrine.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you may consider walking to Ōta Shrine. Start from the nearest landmark or your accommodation and head towards Kamigamo Motoyama. Follow signs towards Kamigamo Jinja, as Ōta Shrine is located just a short walk from there. Make sure to enjoy the local scenery along the way!
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your current location to Ōta Shrine. Simply tell the driver 'Ōta Shrine' or show them the address: 340 Kamigamo Motoyama, Kita Ward. The ride will depend on your starting point but typically takes around 15-20 minutes from central Kyoto.
