Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Osaka Namba Station. This journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Osaka Namba Station, transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line heading towards Senri Chuo. Get off at Shinsaibashi Station. From Shinsaibashi Station, take the Osaka Metro Chuo Line towards Cosmosquare and get off at Tanimachi 4-chome Station. Exit the station and walk towards the north. You will find signs directing you to the Osaka Castle area. Follow the signs to Nishinomaru Garden, which is located within the Osaka Castle Park.
Bus
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Osaka Umeda Station. Once you arrive at Umeda Station, walk to the nearby bus terminal and look for bus number 62 heading towards Osaka Castle. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Osaka Castle' bus stop. From there, follow the path leading into the Osaka Castle Park. Nishinomaru Garden will be on your right as you walk through the park.
Walking
If you are staying in central Nara, you can enjoy a pleasant walk to Nishinomaru Garden. Begin at Nara Park, where you can see the famous deer. Walk towards the east side of the park and continue heading towards the Kintetsu Nara Station. From there, take a train to Osaka Namba Station, and then follow the train directions as described above. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can walk to the park from Osaka Castle after taking public transport.
