Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head towards the Nara National Museum. From the museum, walk north to the main street and turn left. Continue straight until you reach the JR Nara Station. From the station, take the JR Nara Line towards Kyoto. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the Enmachi Station in Kyoto. Exit the station and turn right, walking along the main road until you reach a major intersection. Turn left and continue straight. After about 15 minutes, you will see signs for Saganisonin Monzen Chojincho. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at Nisonin Temple.
Bus
From Nara, go to the Nara Bus Terminal located near JR Nara Station. Take the 'Nara-Kyoto Line' bus to Kyoto Station. This journey takes about 40 minutes. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the city bus and take bus number 28 towards Hozugawa. Get off at the 'Nisonin' stop, which is the closest bus stop to Nisonin Temple. From there, it is a short walk to the temple.
Train
Start at JR Nara Station. Take the JR Nara Line towards Kyoto. After about 45 minutes, get off at the Enmachi Station. Upon exiting the station, head north on the main road. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach a bus stop for the local bus. Board the bus heading to Saganisonin Monzen Chojincho, and get off at the Nisonin Temple stop. The temple is just a short walk from the bus stop.
